Big Ten School Review
The co-founders of CletusFest have attended football games at every Big Ten Stadium.
Although each school visit includes great memories, we thought it would be helpful for Buckeye
fans to know what they were getting themselves into when considering a Big Ten road trip. Our
Rating is based on a Five Point Scale (5 being best):
Overall Rating: ***
Ross-Ade Stadium
Purdue's stadium can get loud, and includes such great features as the big drum and the train whistles after a home team score. All in all, a worthy visit in the Big Ten.
Fans
The Boiler fans are ferocious during good years, but jump off the ship very quickly. We have seen the stadium filled with Buckeye fans, but that was a few years ago. During the Joe Tiller years, count on this group to be friendly, but ready to cheer.
Tailgate/Parking
There is limited parking around the stadium, but usually the locals will guide you to the lot behind the stadium.
Nightlife/City Atmosphere
Purdue has some decent restaurant/bar choices, most of which are located off of Main Street. Try out The Pub on Union Street.
